What Is rising damp  (Click for Video)

Rising damp is moisture that rises up from the soil below the foundation, this carries on rising via capillary action up through the brickwork to approximately 1.3 m above ground level, it then soaks out causing wet plaster on the wall which then needs re-plastering.Call for rising damp solutions today.

About Me

Richard Brooks M.Dpa  damp specialist

My building and construction education started at Basford Hall college in Nottingham where I passed my City and Guilds craft and advanced craft certificates in plastering and completed a 3yr Apprenticeship at Whitt brothers plastering contractors.
Having worked on a few damp proofing jobs, I began my own plastering company called RJB Plastering and became an approved damp course installer. Working on such a wide range of projects, I frequently found situations where people had been poorly advised about their damp problem and offered expensive solutions they didn’t need.  So now I’m running Damp2dry Construction Ltd based in Stapleford in Nottingham, and I carry out around 70 to 90 damp jobs every year.  Damp proofing Nottingham for 30yrs.
